Injury to the Radial (Thumb) Side of Wrist
There are many small tendons, ligaments and nerves located in the wrist which are susceptible to injury from normal daily activities. These structures of wrist take time to gradually heal. Wrist injuries are caused by various reasons and the ligaments are very close to each other, making it difficult to localize the origin of trauma. The treatment for each of wrist injuries is completely different, so an accurate diagnosis must be required in order to get the proper treatment.
Conditions which cause the symptoms are:
- De Quervain’s tenosynovitis
- Intersection syndrome
- Wartenberg’s syndrome
- Basal thumb arthritis

- Pain increases or occurs more often
- Pain does not improve after resting or taking pain relievers
- Pain which interferes with your daily life
